Our parish community gave thanks for Fr Bernard on Sunday at his farewell mass. He will be parish priest at Banksia Grove parish from the beginning of June. Fr Bernard has been the parish priest of Innaloo / Karrinyup for six years. We have all been blessed to have Fr Bernard as a spiritual leader in our lives and wish him God’s blessings for his appointment to Banksia Grove.

A message from Fr Bernard…
Today I would like to give thanks to God for the opportunity to live and serve among you as your Pastor. My time with you has been a blessing to me, and I sincerely thank you for your welcome, care and generosity. I am truly grateful for all the blessings our parish has received from God over the years, as we have worked together to build up our family of faith. Thank you to you all for the hard work, generosity and dedication that has kept our parish going through some challenging times, including the pandemic. Thank you for your support and co- operation as we worked on many projects to reach out and care for others, especially those in most need.
As I leave for some renewal and a new Parish in due course, I take with me many lovely memories of our time together. I pray in this Mass that the parish may continue to grow in faith, hope and love. I pray that God will bless each one of you and all the families in our parish and keep you all in his tender care always.
At the end of May, Fr Phillip Akansighe CSSP and Fr Nicholas Kerebba, of the Spiritans Order (Congregation of the Holy Spirit), will be moving to our Parish with Fr Phillip as Parish Priest.
