Innaloo/Karrinyup Catholic Parish welcomes school aged children within our parish to enrol to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and/or Confirmation. Preparation classes for each of the sacraments commence at the beginning of the school year. The 2024 sacramental dates are listed in the table below.
The Parish Sacramental Program consists of:
1. Sacramental Parent Meeting
It is compulsory for at least one parent/caregiver of a child receiving a sacrament to attend this meeting – children are not required to attend.
2. Enrolment & Commitment Masses
It is compulsory for all sacramental candidates and at least one parent/caregiver to attend an Enrolment Mass to enrol their child to prepare to receive one of the sacraments. These Enrolment Masses are held over several weekends.
3. Parent-Child Sacramental Workshop
It is compulsory for at least one parent/caregiver to attend this meeting with their child.
4. Sacrament Retreat Days
It is compulsory for all sacramental candidates to attend the relevant Sacrament Retreat Day. The parish has once again engaged with 24/7 School Ministry to lead these retreats and the dates are listed are below for your information. The retreat days will be held during school hours with further information from the parish schools closer to the scheduled date.
